MARA
For small lower jaw
MARA, ‘mandibular anterior repositioning appliance’, is a fixed appliance consisting of metal caps and hooks used to treat retruded lower jaw in growing patients (skeletal II pattern). MARA makes patient to position the lower jaw forward, allowing more growth and improvement in its position. It is used 6-12 momths, depending on patients’ different biological response to the appliance.
